Part Time Program Coordinator -- Montgomery County: Job Description
The ideal candidate for the KEEN Program Coordinator position will be organized, detail-oriented and energetic, will have excellent computer and communication skills, will have access to a car, will be sensitive to the needs and interests of persons with disabilities, and will live in Montgomery County, MD.
The responsibilities of the KEEN Program Coordinator will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Attend all assigned weekend sessions:
- Manage Takoma location sessions, two Saturdays a month
- Support the Program Manager at the Rockville–Tilden MS sessions on four Sundays a month
- Takoma--Don Bosco Cristo Rey High School: Handle various administrative responsibilities for the Takoma location:
- Maintain attendance records (volunteer and athlete);
- update athlete profiles and preparing profiles for distribution at each session; [This involves monitoring of volunteer comments on profiles for inconsistent comments, editing profiles];
- send reminders to parents prior to each Saturday sessions;
- contact parents following missed sessions (if parents fail to call in advance);
- Work with the school in Takoma to secure number of student volunteers
- Monitor inventory of KEEN equipment on the program site;
- If needed, monitor and maintain stable supply of volunteer refreshments (water, granola bars, etc.) at the program site;
- Manage KEEN’s equipment inventory and recommend (and handle) purchases of new equipment;
- Monitor supply of forms and other necessary material for sports sessions (e.g. volunteer & athlete attendance forms, athlete nametags, blank volunteer name tags, volunteer orientation packets, etc.);
- Attending KEEN sessions at Tilden MS in Rockville on four Sundays a month
- On-site support program manager as needed;
REPORTS TO: Programs Director
- Hours: 10 to 20 hours a week (flexible)
- Work from home and at program sites on select weekends.
- Salary range $20-$22 per hour (PT employee salary commensurate with experience)
