SPECIAL EVENTS & FUNDRAISING MANAGER

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Special Events Management

  • Support planning and execution of fundraising events, including auctions and signature events
  • Coordinate vendors, contracts, logistics, and event communications
  • Manage auction processes, including procurement, tracking, data entry, and fulfillment
  • Oversee program book production, sponsor deliverables, and deadlines
  • Provide on-site event support, including setup, guest experience, and follow-up
  • Assist with donor cultivation and stewardship events

Development Operations

  • Manage donor CRM, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and integrity
  • Generate reports, mailing lists, and analytics to support fundraising strategy
  • Track donor interactions and maintain records for stewardship and compliance
  • Support development team with correspondence, reporting, and administrative needs
  • Coordinate calendars, meetings, and internal processes
  • Assist with Board engagement, including preparation of materials and logistics

 Gift Processing & Financial Coordination

  • Process all donations (online, checks, DAFs, in-kind, and other revenue)
  • Prepare and send timely acknowledgments and tax receipts
  • Partner with finance to ensure accurate reconciliation and reporting

 Campaign Support

  • Support execution of annual and special campaigns
  • Track performance metrics and prepare reports

 PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, development operations, or event management.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Experience working with CRM systems (e.g., Bloomerang, Qgiv, or similar).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Relationship-driven professional with a high level of professionalism and discretion.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated follow-through and accountability.

Salary range:  $70K -$75K 
Hours:  Full-Time position  
Location: Remote, occasional in person evening and weekend meetings required
Reports to: Development Director
