Jessica C. Abrahams is a partner and the Chair of the Government Contracts Practice at the law firm of Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP. She has practiced law for almost thirty years and is recognized by Super Lawyers as one of the nation’s leading government contracts lawyers. Jessica was named DC Bar Pro Bono Lawyer of the Year in 2000, and she maintains her strong commitment to pro bono through her legal work and contributions to a number of Washington, DC legal services providers. She is committed to the education of girls and to the professional development of women lawyers, as evidenced by her numerous law firm and community activities. In addition to her work with KEEN, Jessica serves on several non-profit boards, including the Board of the Alice Paull Institute, the Board of the National Woman’s Party and the Emeritus Board of the Children’s Law Center, and is the co-chair for the Lawyers Committee for the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum. Jessica believes strongly in volunteerism, and, as an avid supporter of animal welfare issues and a committed advocate of sheltering, she has worked in DC area shelters and with local animal rescue groups for more than a decade. She is a strong supporter of the Humane Rescue Alliance, where she has served as a shelter volunteer, member of the Volunteer Leadership Committee, fundraiser, and Fashion for Paws escort for her supermodel Kerry Blue Terriers.
Jessica lives in Washington, DC with her husband and overly-indulged Kerry Blue Terriers, Gilly and Matilda.
