VA Regional Program Manager: Job Description
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure that program activities are delivered in accordance with KEEN Gr DC mission.
- Plan the programs from start to completion involving deadline; participate in the weekend programs.
- Coordinate PT program manager(s) to ensure effective and efficient program delivery; ensure adequate staff and volunteer participation at all sessions.
- Ensure that all part-time program coordinators are properly orientated.
- Direct, oversee and evaluate the work of the regional PT program staff.
- Report tasks and program findings to the Program Director and recommend changes to enhance programs.
- Develop and undertake new initiatives and strategies to address program challenges (including athletes’ attendance, volunteer recruitment, etc.).
- Enroll new athletes.
- Engage in community outreach, participate in community fairs to represent KEEN Gr DC
- Recruit volunteers and monitor attendance; open registration sessions on database, volunteer background check.
- Assist with development of program budget.
Requirements Include:
- Bachelor’s Degree. One to three years of non-profit experience.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to successfully and appropriately communicate with a wide variety of people.
- Demonstrated personal initiative and is a self-starter.
- Outstanding organizational skills with a relentless attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task while managing several projects simultaneously.
- Technical skills to include proficiency in MS Office Software. Experience with Constant Contact, social media platforms a plus.
- Attend weekend programs
- Ability to work successfully from a home office. (KEEN does not have a physical office)
