6th Annual Dinner and Silent Auction
Wednesday, November 1, 2006

The Event: Kids Enjoy Exercise Now (KEEN) will host over 450 community members, business leaders and volunteers at KEENFest, a dinner and silent auction event held each fall to increase awareness, raise funds and honor volunteers and organizations who have been outstanding supporters of KEEN.

Why: KEEN is a nonprofit organization that provides one-to-one recreational coaching to nearly 200 children and young adults with more profound and severe mental and physical disabilities. KEEN offers eleven sports and arts programs ranging from basketball to bowling to music on weekends throughout the year. At each session a volunteer coach is paired with a KEEN athlete enabling every KEEN child and young adult to participate, regardless of the extent of their disability. Just this spring, KEEN opened two new programs in Southeast Washington, DC for young people with disabilities.

Last year, more than $100,000 was raised at KEENFest to support these programs. Proceeds from KEENFest 2006 will be used to defray the costs of the facility rentals and equipment for all of our programs and to continue to keep our programs free-of charge.

Sponsorship: Levels are available ranging from $10,000 to $275. Past sponsors include:
Boomer Esiason, The Fernandez Foundation, Herb Gordon Auto Group,
Rebecca & Richard Kay, Cindy & Jeong Kim, Mark D. Ein Foundation,
Mattress Warehouse, The Meltzer Group, and Cap & Renee Potter. Sponsor Form

The Auction: Jewelry, sports memorabilia, tickets to sporting and cultural events, out-of-town escapes, unique experiences, family outings and activities and dining at area restaurants will be featured in the auction with more than 200 items. Silent Auction Donation Form

Program Book: Acknowledgement or congratulatory messages ranging in size from business card to full page are available in the KEENFest Program Book, distributed to more than 450 guests at the event. Acknowledgement Form
