KEEN Fit Program Leader

Volunteer Position Description: Fit Program Leader

Position Aim: The Fit Program Leader provides support by overseeing activities and managing volunteers and athletes during KEEN Fit programs.

Key Responsibility Areas:

  • One week before:  Send a reminder email to KEEN Young Adult Fit and KEEN Family Fit athletes/families and the list of former coaches reminding them of the upcoming session.
  • Check the KEEN call out line before the session.
  • Bring athlete profiles and other KEEN materials to program.
  • Greet coaches and lead orientation those who have not volunteered with KEEN Fit.  Provide a full orientation if they have not been to any KEEN program.
  • Pair up coaches and athletes.
  • Direct coaches and athletes to begin with cardio (bikes, treadmills, ellipticals, etc.) and then have each pair move to weights and machines.
  • Start additional activities when planned – yoga classes or other group classes.
  • Pursue group activities in the studio when there are not enough coaches.
  • At the end of the session say goodbye to athletes and coaches.
  • Greet the KEEN Family Fit families and help them work through the gym.

Requested Time Commitment: 
2.5 hours once a month on selected weekends

While there are no required qualifications, and all are invited to volunteer for this position, the following general requirements may be helpful for individuals who wish to volunteer.
